Who can apply:
- Young Professionals

Eligibility requirements:
- Aged between 18 and 30 years old (see FAQs for details)
- Have a connection to Lower Austria (e.g., through work, studies, place of residence, club activities, hobbies, family ties, or origin)
- Interested in politics, economics, and society at a European and global level, with a desire to strengthen and improve the European Union
- Proficient in English at a minimum of B2 level (see FAQs for details)
- Enjoy participating in large social events and willing to actively engage in the life of Club Alpbach Niederösterreich

Application documents
Please send your application without a photo. We want to to make sure we are as unbiased as possible in our assessment 🙂
- CV explicitly highlighting your connection to Lower Austria
- Motivation letter explaining why you wish to participate in the European Forum Alpbach and how you can contribute as an individual to the forum. Reference the theme and tracks of the forum: https://www.alpbach.org/event/theme-tracks (max. one A4 page)
- Character reference/recommendation letter relevant to your application for the European Forum Alpbach (this can be written by any person who knows you well)
- Proof of academic or vocational achievement, e.g., transcript, diploma, apprenticeship certificate, school-leaving certificate, etc.
- Answer three questions in the online application form (max. 250 words each):
- What are you proud of?
- Do you have international experience? If yes, what kind? If no, why not?
- If you could organize a fireside chat with anyone, who would it be and why?

Scholarship benefits
- Membership in Club Alpbach Niederösterreich
- Full participation fee for the European Forum Alpbach 2025
- Accommodation in the center of Alpbach (low co-payment with the possibility of reduction or waiver in cases of financial hardship)

What we expect from you:
- Mandatory participation in the European Forum Alpbach and earning two seminar certificates (August 16–29, 2025)
- Active involvement in the life of Club Alpbach Niederösterreich during and after the forum
- Mandatory participation in the preparatory Get2Gether (date TBD)
- Mandatory participation in the scholarship award ceremony (30th april in the evening in Hainburg an der Au)
- One-day Instagram Takeover of the CANOE account during the forum (minimum of 3 stories posted)
- Written reflection on your experience for sponsors after the forum (approx. one A4 page)
